This Race Is….Amazing!

Cast of The Amazing Race Season 16

The Amazing Race, a reality-competition show where contestants travel around the world completing challenges, is on its 16th season. Who knew?

I tuned in recently to see what all the hype was about for one reason and one reason only: “Newly Dating” contestants Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd.

Jeff and Jordan were on the reality show Big Brother (which I watch regularly with my family) this past summer. (Jordan won it all, by the way.) They were attached at the hip the whole time, and once they got out of the house, they admitted they were dating. With her adorable, ditzy attitude and southern voice and his positivity, humor (good looks) and Chicago-hinted voice, they were the most adorable mix-matched couple.

Some moments included teasing, others were sweet, but either way they were, in my opinion, the cutest couple in the Big Brother house. So when the opportunity came up to see them on a show where they needed to work together to win, I was hooked.

So far, after two episodes, they are still in it. How much longer they’ll last? I don’t know. Check out the video below to see them in action from the first episode, and watch The Amazing Race Sundays at 8 p.m. eastern time on CBS.

Also, thanks to the hilarious Chelsea Handler and her “little nugget” Chuy, check out this video of what an application video to The Amazing Race should be like.

I think you’ll like the Amazing Race. Last season was great, the best ever I think. I’m a bib, Big Brother fan too. I actually wanted Jordan to lose. I liked the other girl whose boyfriend came into the house.

I’m excited to watch The Amazing Race. I love shows like this – especially when people do dumb things or fight with each other.
Big Brother’s my favorite – we take it very seriously in my family. We get the 24/7 feeds and everything. It’s a big deal. I couldn’t stand the other girl, I liked Jordan too much. But whatever the other girl won – $50,000 or something? – is still good.

I don’t buy the 24/7 feeds, but I do check out the spoiler blogs!

I do that too…and get text updates on my phone. Ha ha. We take it way too seriously.
